May 2012 Update

Date: may 2012

Toronto Concerts In March/April we did some extensive traveling. We started out with playing two concerts at the Canadian Music Week in Toronto where we met many interesting people from all over the world. This picture is taken during our showcase at The Tranzac Club.

A fews days later we played a concert in Mezzetta, Toronto with our friend guitarist Michael Occhipinti. That was lots of fun, playing some of our originals and some tunes of Michaels newest album with John Lennon songs.

St. Paul, Minnesota Later Ineke travelled to McNally Smith College of music in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was a guest teacher. A fantastic experience; great teachers and students and a wonderful atmosphere! Some of you might recognize the singer Peggy Larson (at the very right) who used to live in the Netherlands and who's teaching at McNally. The Artez Conservatory, Arnhem is working at a student exchange with McNally.

Marfa, Texas In April we did a radio interview in Marfa, Texas for KRTS. Tom Michael did the interview and we played a couple of songs live. We will post this interview at the website soon.

Navajo Nation, Ganado, Arizona An eclectic experience it was. Later that month Marc and I where invited to do an Artist in Residence at the Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado, Arizona. Ganado is in the middle of the Navajo reservation. The Hubbell Trading Post is one of the few trading posts that is still functioning. A special place with a great staff!

During our Ganado stay we taught a workshop at the Ganado High School. We worked with the students: singing, playing the guitar and having fun!

Later that week we performed in the visitor center of the Hubbell Trading Post. It was a very low key performance without even a mic!
